Bridge Medical Practice is committed to ensuring that the best possible service is provided to all our patients. We understand that it can sometimes be difficult to get an appointment however, one thing that makes this increasingly difficult is the problem of missed appointments (DNA) and late cancellations. The average number of appointments lost each month due to DNA or late cancellations is 130, which equals the number of people who couldn’t get an appointment each month.
What is a DNA and when occurs:
- An appointment is not attended
- The patient has not contacted the Surgery in advance to cancel an appointment
- The cancellation is so late that it makes it impossible to allocate that time to another patient who needs appointment
Avoid a ‘Missed Appointment’
If you cannot attend or no longer need an appointment, please let us know in advance at least 24 hours before your appointment between our working hours: Monday to Friday 9 am and 5 pm
If you need to cancel an appointment you can do this in any one of the following ways:

Due to a high number of non-attendance and late cancellation for GP/ Nurses appointments we will charge a fee of €10 per consultation for an appointment that is not attended
