Cervical Screening Programme
Cervical Check is the national cervical screening programme. All smears are provided free of charge if you are eligible. You can check on the cervical check website.
In cervical screening, the target group is women and people with a cervix who have been sexually active and are age 25 to 65 who live in Ireland. These are the people that will benefit the most from screening. Cervical screening is a test to see if you are currently at risk of developing cancer.
